Damn, I’m 2 years late to this party, but saw you’ve got some fantastic interviews / conversations with a lot of interesting people. Nate was probably the most influential guitar player to me. I was about 15 yrs old or so, when I first saw the Bosstones in ‘92 at The Paradise, right when “More Noise and Other Disturbances” had just come out. They quickly became my favorite band. I stood on the side of the stage and watched Nate play many many times, and have seen the Bosstones well over 100 times since ‘92. I saw how Nate played and his style was much different and more evolved than other guitar players, especially in the ska and punk genres. I started a band and we got to play the 2nd Hometown Throwdown. I joined the ska punk band, Big D and the Kids Table in 2010 and got to see the world touring with them for playing guitar, which I would’ve been doing anyway. We also played with MMB numerous times over the yrs, plus countless other bands that inspired me. Thanks, Toby. Thanks so much for this fantastic interview.
